The iPhone 6 is still going strong for some of our clients.
If you have had your iPhone 6 for a few years, the battery may be giving you a little trouble. It is time for a battery replacement.
First, open the phone by removing the two screws at the bottom near the charging port.
Now, carefully lift the screen up and reveal the inside components of the iPhone 6.
Next, we need to purge the power from the phone by unhooking the battery connection and holding the power button down for a few seconds.
It is now safe to remove the screws and metal plate holding the screen cables down.
Once removed, gently pry up the cables and you are almost done.
I like to remove the vibrator module first, then the tape holding the battery in place.
Lastly, test fit and install the battery.
Reinstall the vibrator module and then the screen cables and metal plate.
Hook the battery back up and install the metal plate to hold the cable down.
Now, test the iPhone 6 for functionality before closing up the phone. That is all there is to it :)
Now, you can replace the battery in an iPhone 6.
